Hi Everyone,
Hope you all made it home for Christmas without too many problems with the snow! I hope everyone has enjoyed Judo this term, have a great Christmas and we will see you all back on the mat in the new year when the martial arts room should be fully restored to normal after the flooding problems.
Next term has lots going on so here are some highlights:
* Andrew has sent off all the paperwork for beginners so you should be receiving your licenses and suits soon.
* We have more joint sessions with Solent and Winchester planned, including one we will host ourselves
* There are 2 competitions – the team tournament at Sheffield Uni in February which is always good fun, and the university championships (BUCS) which is also in Sheffield in March.
For those who want to be part of the teams for the competitions, make sure you come back in the New Year ready to work hard to get yourself ready. We will probably look at organising some trips to local clubs to provide some more intense training for you all!
Don’t forget that we start sessions at the beginning of term, the first session being Tuesday Jan 11th. While many of you will have exams its a good idea to take a break to relieve some stress so we hope to see you from the first week of term – but if you miss sessions because of exams and revision, or if you have not been as often as you would like this term, don’t worry about it just get on down and we will soon get you back in the swing of things!
See you all in the new year,
Gary
